Why my podcast “the Right Moves” is now “Seen, Trusted, Chosen”
For a while, I knew the name for my podcast - The Right Moves, didn’t quite fit anymore. There wasn’t anything wrong with the podcast, and I still liked the conversations I’d had, the topics I’d covered and what the show had become. But my business had changed, and more importantly, I’d got much clearer on what I actually wanted to be known for.
Once that happened, the old name started to feel a little too broad for where I was going next. So after a lot of thinking, scribbling ideas down, changing my mind approximately 47 times and trying to find language that actually connected everything I do, The Right Moves is now officially Seen, Trusted, Chosen.
And honestly, the new name feels sooo much more like the conversation I’ve actually been having through my work for years.
The podcast hasn’t completely changeD. I’ve just got clearer on the thread running through it.
I talk about websites, branding, positioning, messaging, marketing, visibility, buyer psychology, proof, offers and conversion. When you list it all out like that, it can sound like quite a lot of different things. But the more I looked at it, the more obvious it became that all of those things are influencing the exact same decision: does this person understand enough about your business to feel confident choosing you?
And that’s really what I care about. I work with established coaches + service providers who are already really flippin’ good at what they do. They have the experience, they have client results, their offers work, and they’ve usually been in business long enough to know their clients pretty well too.
But being great at the actual work doesn’t automatically mean somebody discovering you online can see all of that. That gap between how good the business actually is and how much of that value somebody can see from the outside is what I’ve become completely obsessed with.
And that’s where Seen, Trusted, Chosen came from.
First, you need to be seen
This sounds obvious, and I guess it is! People need to know you exist before they can work with you. But I don’t only mean “get more followers” or “post more content”. Being seen means your expertise, ideas, client results, offers + perspective actually making their way out of your head and into the world.
There can be SO much value sitting inside a business that nobody ever gets to see. The great client conversation that never becomes content. The amazing result that stays buried in an email. The opinion you’ve developed after years of doing the work that never makes it onto your website. The offer you’ve refined massively but are still describing in the same way you did two years ago.
You can be incredibly good at what you do and still be almost invisible to the people who’d genuinely love working with you.
Then, you need to be trusted
Being visible is only one part of it. Someone can see your content every week and still not feel ready to work with you. They need enough evidence to think, okay, she understands this. She’s helped people like me. I like the way she thinks. I trust her.
That trust gets built in lots of different places. Your website, your branding, the way you talk about your work, your testimonials, your client results, your content, the details you choose to share, and even how easy it is to understand what you actually do.
This is especially important for coaches + service providers because the person behind the business is usually a huge part of what somebody is buying. People aren’t only choosing the information you know. They’re choosing your perspective, your experience, your way of explaining things, your personality, and the way you make them feel understood. The more clearly all of that comes through, the easier it becomes to build trust before you ever speak.
And finally, you need to be chosen
This is the part I think gets missed the most. Because being visible and credible still doesn’t automatically mean someone will choose you. There are probably plenty of other very good people offering something similar.
So the question becomes: why YOU?
What do you see differently?
What do you care about?
What makes your approach feel right for this particular person?
What proof helps them feel safe?
What makes them think ohhhh, THIS is exactly what I’ve been looking for rather than yeah, she seems good?
That’s where positioning, differentiation, messaging, proof, website strategy + buyer psychology all start overlapping. And that is basically the whole idea behind becoming the obvious choice online.
You don’t necessarily need to be louder, create more for the sake of creating more or invent some wildly different offer just so nobody else can technically say they do the same thing. You need to make what already makes you worth choosing much easier to see.
Why I wanted the podcast name to reflect all of this
The more my business evolved, the more The Right Moves started to feel slightly disconnected from the work I was actually doing. Seen, Trusted, Chosen feels much more specific. It gives me space to talk about websites, branding, positioning, marketing + all the other things I love talking about without them feeling like completely separate topics. Because they’re not.
They’re all shaping how someone experiences your business online, and they all influence whether someone notices you, trusts you and eventually chooses you. That feels like a much stronger home for the podcast too.
What you can expect from Seen, Trusted, Chosen
Going forward, the podcast is for coaches + service providers who want to become much easier to see, trust + choose online. I’ll be talking about why some websites look great but still don’t generate enquiries, how to make your expertise easier to understand, positioning + messaging, branding + trust, visibility + marketing, proof + testimonials, buyer psychology, offers + conversion, and what actually helps someone feel ready to work with you.
There’ll still be opinions. Probably some rants. Real examples from the businesses I work with. And plenty of conversations about what happens when the outside of your business hasn’t quite caught up with how good the inside has become yet.
Want the full story?
In the first episode under the new name, I’m talking through the rebrand in much more detail: what’s changed in my business, what hasn’t, why I’ve sharpened my positioning around becoming the obvious choice online + where I want to take the podcast from here.
If you listened to The Right Moves before, you’re already subscribed to the right show. The feed itself hasn’t changed, it just has a shiny new name 💙
